Training & Development are more important than salary to Graduates

March 4, 2015

A large annual graduate survey completed by EY has found that graduates are looking for training and development opportunities rather than higher salaries. Salary and benefits had been rated the most important factor by graduates every years since 2007 until this year when salary dropped to fifth place (11%), while training and development was rated top (34%). Rather than focusing on the quick win graduates are making longer-term decisions about their careers. The graduates surveyed also ranked people & culture and a good work-life balance as important in their decision making.
